The Rangers Support Fund, also known as the Dr Carlos Lopes Pereira Fund, was created in 2020 with the objective to recognize, motivate and reward the bravery and dedication of the Rangers and forest guards in the public and private Conservation Areas of Mozambique through an annual award.

Since 2021, the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC) in partnership with the Foundation for the Conservation of Biodiversity (BIOFUND), has been awarding annual prizes to the 5 most outstanding rangers and forest guards in the performance of their duties.

For the 3rd edition in 2023, applications are open from April 10th to June 23rd, 2023, and must be submitted by the administrator or manager of the Conservation Area. To access the application form, click here.
