This project, launched in 2025 on a permanent basis, was designed to continue part of the activities implemented under the MozBio2 Project, which ended in 2024. It covers two Conservation Areas — Marromeu National Reserve (NRM) and Chimanimani National Park (CNP).
With an average annual budget of about USD 211,000, the project is implemented in partnership with the Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS), Fauna & Flora (FF), and the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC), complementing State Budget resources.

Main Activities Carried Out in 2025
Support for the operation of the two areas was ensured through the coverage of essential operational costs, including procurement of fuel, communication, rations for rangers, office supplies, maintenance of equipment, and scholarship programmes.
Under the scholarship programme, 12 female students were supported, of whom 4 successfully completed technical-vocational level education in RNM.
Within the scope of CHFB management, 35 people were trained (and 20 kg of chilli and 8 rockets were distributed), including rangers and community members on Sália Island, in RNM, in CHFB mitigation techniques, with a focus on the production of chilli blocks.
A three-day training on good governance was conducted for founding members of community associations in PNC. The activity included the participation of 26 people, comprising 6 technical team members and 20 representatives from the associations.
The activities of this project are implemented in partnership with Frankfurt Zoological Society (FZS), Fauna & Flora (FF), and the National Administration of Conservation Areas (ANAC).
